Time and Symmetry

According to the second law of thermodynamics all heat in the universe will some day be lost.  The temperature will fall to 'absolute zero', where even subatomic particles can no longer move – there is no movement of any sort.  Without movement there is no time, so there will be no time, as there was no time before the Big Bang.  In these images I look at the relentless passage of time:  Sometimes the objects in movement pass by in front of me, sometimes I am the object in movement.

These images are meant to be seen on a large scale.  The first one (Leiden in The Netherlands), for instance, is meant to be at least 10 metres long by 40 centimetres tall.
