Portraiture and Picture Restoration
I am happpy to undertake commissions for portraiture. I can either take photographs of the person within a setting, or I can use existing photographs. I can also restore old photographs (see bottom two rows on the grid). These services are provided via negotiation.
Maryanne commisioned me to do her portrait. I took the original photo in her dining room.
My friend Erik took this picture at the Oxmarket Gallery in Chichester, where I had an exhibition. The original photo was in black and white.

The original photo, taken in the early 1930s, was badly damaged.
My grandfather on my mother's side used to sell cigarettes from village to village in Mexico in the early 1930s. Notice the pack of cigarettes on the roof of the car.
This photo, from 1925 was badly damaged. My great-grandfather is being served a glass of wine at right.
My Great-grandfather owned a bar in the city of Querétaro in Mexico. This picture was taken in 1925. He subsequently lost it through a bad gambling habit.
The version here has already been altered to have more contrast, which the original had lost over the years.
The original photo was taken in about 1927.
